Brown, John W. (October 11, 1796 – September 6, 1875) | US Congressman

He was elected as a Jacksonian to represent New York's 6th Congressional District in the United States House of Representatives, serving from 1833 to 1837. He later served as an Associate Justice of the New York State Supreme Court from 1850 to 1865.

Carr, Eric (July 12, 1950 – November 24, 1991) | Rock Musician

Born Paul Charles Caravello, he replaced founding member Peter Criss in the rock band "KISS" in 1980, and played drums with the band until his death in 1991. He took up the drums at age 14, inspired by legendary drummers Ringo Starr of "The Beatles" and John Bonham of "Led Zeppelin". Before joining KISS, his career saw him play with punk singer Wendy O. Williams and the band "Bionic Boogie".

When he became a member of KISS, the band was still in their days of wearing face makeup in public, and he took the persona of a fox. After a struggle with heart cancer, he passed away in 1991. On July 25, 1995, he was posthumously inducted into the Hollywood Rock Walk on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles, California. (Bio by: Perry Claeys)

Downing, Andrew Jackson (October 31, 1815 – July 28, 1852) | Architect

One of America's premier landscape architects, he wrote many books on the subject and thus, by reputation was dubbed "The Apostle of Taste." His work included locales in New York State's Hudson River Valley, at Newport, Rhode Island's "cottages" and in The Capitol Mall at Washington, D.C. where a huge urn stands as a memorial to him in the garden of
The Smithsonian Castle - the first monument dedicated on The Mall. A.J. Downing was interred in The Old Town Cemetery in Newburgh until the 1870s at which time his grave was relocated to Cedar Hill Cemetery. (Bio by: John T. Chiarella)
