The Cedar Hill Cemetery Association allows pet owners to bury the cremated remains of their domestic pets with them in the cemetery, which provides for the emotional needs of families and individuals who have a strong bond with their pets.
Burial of domestic pet cremated remains must be in a grave, crypt, or niche purchased for the interment of humans, and sufficient space must be available.
Under NYS cemetery law, all fees associated with the burial of cremated domestic pets must be deposited into the cemetery’s permanent maintenance fund. Therefore any revenue derived from pet burials will help us to keep our promise to provide the finest in perpetual care to all those who rest within our cemetery.
